Hand built using Reynolds 853 tubing which is not only strong and thin, but it hardens with welding, making the joints even stronger than the tubes. The R8 is more of a grassroots XC machine, lighter and more svelte than any of the current hardtails in the range it is an excellent choice for all day epic rides, due to the great shock absorbent qualities of the Reynolds tubeset. It would be equally at home lining up for your next enduro or XC race, thanks to its race bred geometry and sharp handling. The best way to enjoy the R8 is flat out in the big ring, carving up the bends and flying up the climbs. This is a serious bike, which will reward good line choices and gives a connection with the trail that you just won’t feel on a full suspension or aluminium rig, a bike for the purist you could say.

The R8 S comes in Mandarin Orange and at just £1299.99 it’s more than the colour that is striking. With an impressive spec sheet including Rock Shox Recon solo air lock out forks, Shimano SLX/Deore shifting and a Raceface chainset and bottom bracket, The S an affordable way to get out on the trail on quality bike.

The Pro ups the ante in terms of spec, moving on to a Fox 32 FRL 100mm fork, Shimano XT/SLX shifting, Avid Elixir brakes and Hope pro 2 hubs, finished in Powder blue and white and costing only £350 more than the S at £1649.99 the Pro could be all the bike you need.
