A few months ago, Whyte launched the 180mm Karve EVO, and the response was absolutely wild. The pre-orders went so fast that the first drops completely sold out before they even had a chance to hit our shop floor. If you want an EVO now, you are looking at December.

Introducing the new Whyte Karve RS 160 and Whyte Karve RSX 160.

To keep things nice and clear, we are adding "160" to the name to differentiate them from the longer travel EVO models. These bikes take that exact same revolutionary Avinox power and wrap it in a slightly tighter, more agile, and incredibly versatile 160mm travel package.

The Sweet Spot for the Malvern Hills

While the 180mm EVO is a self-shuttling downhill monster, the Karve 160 lands right in the sweet spot for UK enduro and trail riding.

It gives you 160mm of custom-tuned suspension to soak up the rock gardens and steep, technical chutes. However, the slightly reduced travel and full 29er wheel setup (they are MX ready if you ever want to swap the rear wheel later) make the bike significantly more lively and responsive. It is a bike that climbs beautifully, pops off the trail, and feels playful when you are just cruising the woods, but still has the teeth to absolutely smash a black run.

That Avinox Power

Just like the EVO, the beating heart of the Karve 160 is the jaw-dropping DJI Avinox M2S motor.

We are talking about 150Nm of maximum torque and 1300W of peak power, all paired with a massive 800Wh battery. It gives you the punch to winch straight up the steepest, loosest climbs you can find on the Beacon, and the battery capacity to stay out all day without constantly staring at your range anxiety gauge.
